Jihad Sneed is an illustrator, graphic designer and University of the Arts graduate. His work tackles many existential matters such as the human experience along with culture, media, and issues that surround them. Through traditional and contemporary methods he conveys his narrative subject matter through sequential art such as graphic novels, comics and zines. The current focus of his art is to create a body of work that contributes to the human condition by taking a deeper look into impermanence, mental health and coming to terms with grief. When he’s not working, Jihad’s current interests are martial arts, gaming, and writing; which are often incorporated into his work. Jihad currently lives in Philadelphia where he works at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and enjoys spending time with family, friends, two pit bulls: ‘Baby’ and ‘Misty’ along with his cat ‘Noodle.’
